binary license

binary license
A license granted to a user by a software developer, entitling the user to run a specific software package under well-defined circumstances, using the binary files provided by the developer. A binary license does not entitle the user to a copy of the source code for the package, although a certain level of configuration can be done, and the user does not have the right to modify the software in any way beyond this simple configuration.
